23 SEPT: It is my deepest regret to announce that one of our members had passed away on 11 July from pneumonia. I usually check deviantart once every 2-3 months only to log on today to bad news. Gomenasai for the very belated update.

If you have been keeping watch on Tenchu fanart, you will most certainly have come across *buuzen (Ryan)'s art either on search or in this gallery. On our last Tenchu fanart contest, he won first prize. His memos to the clan will be greatly treasured. After receiving the package he humourously added that the turtle plush toy will be named ''Uratarous". His last submissions to Tenchu-clan were a string of 4 fanarts in 2008; in his own words 'spanking new fanart for clan' since his last gallery submissions were in 2006. Do check them out in the gallery.

*buuzen is also one of the earliest member of Tenchu-clan, friendly, enthusiastic and an ardent fan of all things Tenchu, just visit his gallery and you see what I mean. He also noted the clan that he was looking forward to the next Tenchu-clan contest (which I am currently contemplating but without commitments as yet).

In memory of Ryan, his avatar will be permanently placed on the tenchu-clan journal for Outstanding Azuma Ninja mention. Domo arigatou for all your fantastic participation *buuzen! We will miss your presence and artworks in the deviantart community. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

NINJA PREREQUISITES
1) You must love Tenchu!
2) You must adore Rikimaru, Ayame, Tesshu, Rin, Tatsumaru and/or any of the heroes/ villians in Tenchu!
3) You must be a ninja-wannabe, if none of the above applies
4) Members of other private ninja clans are most welcome
5) You must be a keen user of ninja items, especially the grappling hook, shurikens and poisoned riceballs
6) You must possess Azuma ninja techniques and your Ki meter is as acute as Semimaru's or Ninja dog's

HOW TO JOIN
AS MEMBER: Please note & watch this clan with the subject as: Ninja recruitment-- I want to join!. Simpler than scattering caltrops! A confirmation letter will be returned when approved.

Membership accepted ONLY via notes. Watching the clan will not be considered as membership. Arigatou!

AS AFFILIATES: Just send a note over! Affiliations are limited to clubs related to video games, ninja, martial arts or japanese culture.

RULES
1) Kindly post our clan's avatar in your journals, the code is : icontenchu-clan : (without spaces between the colons). Though we prefer to remain undetected for our work in the shadows, our clan is always in need of talented ninjas or ninjas-to-be

2) No flaming or spats in the premises of Tenchu-clan. Use your energy to build up your stealth skills instead, or settle them elsewhere at some deserted shrine.

3) Other than that, all the best for your progress into ninja-hood. Work hard, but don't forget to play hard too!
